Kick-Off® Beretta’s new Kick-Off hydraulic dampening reduction system reduces recoil an astounding 44% more than its closest rival by using two hydraulic recoil dampers incorporated into the stock “spacer” unit. The recoil energy is gradually dissipated by the hydraulic dampers, resulting in superior comfort for the shooter.
Fits 1301 Mod 2 polymer (non- pistol grip models) A300 Patrol and Ultima, Xtrema 2 and Urika 2 synthetic stocks only. This item is not compatible with the original 1301 models.
This simply replaces the existing insert in the stock with additive of the KO. You will take out the 2 Phillip screws that hold the recoil pad in place, a 6mm allen key for Quick Detach cup insert, and then a 13mm socket for the stock bolt nut. Take the insert out. You will need to take your existing plate out and make sure you have it in the correct drop/cast settings you desire in the new KO insert when reinstalling. This KO insert does add length of pull. Reinstall other parts and enjoy.
It Definitely Fits a 1301 Tactical Gen II
There have been comments elsewhere that this part does not fit. Well, it definitely does. After taking of the rear rubber butt pad off with a Philips screwdriver, you will see a deep-seated 13mm bolt. Use a socket wrench with an extension to take that off. With an Allen wrench of an appropriate diameter, carefully unscrew the rear swivel stud from the stock. Take the inset out of your stock and transfer the mounting plate for that 13mm bolt into the new kick-back insert in the same position as the original stock. Then carefully put the new part into the stock. Hand tighten the 13mm bolt first and then carefully re-tighten the rear swivel stud, which is actually another bolt to hold the kick-back in place. Align both, tightening one and then the other slowly. If you do not, you will either strip the swivel stud bolt, damage the stock itself, or pinch the rubber kick-back gasket! Work slowly and carefully, and end by replacing the rubber but pad. You are now done!
