Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol – Great Shotgun, Poor Safety Design
The Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol performs well, but the safety button is a major letdown. It's small, hard to engage, and the red “fire” indicator is barely visible during handling. In real-world use—especially in low light or under stress—you can’t reliably tell if the safety is on or off. That’s a serious concern for a tactical shotgun. Beretta really needs to redesign this feature with better visibility and tactile feedback for safer, faster operation.

3 repairs later we’ll see if it works
This thing has been nothing but problems so far. First one, bolt release was not reliably working out of the box. Beretta sent me a piece, I repaired it myself and that now works. Second, shotgun failed to cycle anything but super hot ammo. 8 weeks turnaround time and beretta appeared to have fixed it. Third, it is now cycling correctly. But the bolt keeps getting stuck back and would not release without jiggling the elevator. Overall do not buy this, QC is poor.
