Confidence in the quality and precision of Beretta shotguns drives the Italian national team.
We have some extraordinary news to share: all eight shooters on the Italian national team who will compete in the most important event of the year will use Beretta rifles in trap and skeet competitions. This represents an exceptional achievement! Moreover, this will be Giovanni Pellielo's eighth participation in the most important sporting event in the world.
Less than a month to go before the departure of the Italian delegation to France. In the CONI Executive Hall, in the presence of CONI President Giovanni Malagò, the President of the Italian Shooting Sport Federation (FITAV) and the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Luciano Rossi, and Italy Team Deputy Head of Mission Alessio Palombi, the eight athletes of the shooting team were announced.
For trap, the representatives will be Silvana Stanco, Jessica Rossi, Mauro De Filippis and the legendary Giovanni Pellielo, bronze medallist at Sydney 2000 and silver medallist at Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and Rio 2016. Pellielo will reach his eighth participation, equalling the attendance records of brothers Piero and Raimondo d'Inzeo in equestrianism and Josefa Idem in canoeing, who competed for both West Germany and Italy.
In the skeet, Italy will be represented by Diana Bacosi, Martina Bartolomei, Gabriele Rossetti and Tammaro Cassandro. We are extremely proud that these athletes have chosen Beretta to accompany them on this international adventure, confirming the quality and reliability of our guns.
