Men's Trap: a Beretta podium

The British shooter with the DT11 wins the competition. Ying Qi and Jean Pierre Brol Cardenas complete the podium.

Extraordinary success for Beretta in the Men's Trap: Nathan Hales (GBR), Ying Qi (CHN), and Jean Pierre Brol Cardenas (GUA) all used a Beretta DT11 shotgun to reach the highest steps of the podium. The standard bearer of this legendary competition was the Briton Hales, who managed to keep his concentration very high during the 50 clays without leaving any room for his opponents.

President Franco Gussalli Beretta watched this final from the stands together with his son Carlo Alberto and CEO Carlo Ferlito, and commented on the winner's performance as follows: “I am overjoyed by Nathan Hales' success but also by the fact that the other shooters on the podium also shot with our shotguns. Such an important achievement that fills our hearts with pride. An outstanding performance that will remain in the history of this discipline. My family is intimately linked to the world of shooting and we have supported the exploits of these champions since 1956, when with Galliano Rossini we won the first gold medal. So today I feel great pride in having been part of this winning journey by providing the best firearm possible, the result of our experience combining innovation, tradition, and reliability.”

Nathan himself, who wanted to embrace the top executives of the company immediately after his victory, commented on his extraordinary success this way: “Feeling like a champion is absolutely an extraordinary feeling, something you work hard for. I'm so happy to have finally been able to cross the line and win gold, also setting a record. I have always had a special feeling with my Beretta shotgun from the very first shot.”

CEO and General Manager Carlo Ferlito added: “Warmest congratulations to Nathan Hales for this extraordinary success. Shooting requires precision, concentration, and teamwork: qualities that perfectly reflect the values of our company. Just as in sports, we strive for excellence in our daily work through collaboration and innovation. And the results translate into a very clear figure: almost 60 percent of the guns used by the shooters are Made in Gardone Val Trompia. This triumph is not only an athlete's victory but a pride for the entire country, showing how sport can be a powerful driver of growth.”

Carlo Gussalli Beretta also commented on this achievement: “What a splendid result. We could not be more proud of this success. Seeing three athletes win a title with one of our shotguns is really exciting. I love the shooting disciplines very much and within me, as the latest generation of Beretta, I feel a strong desire to make this sport even more accessible, especially among young people. This success inspires us to continue to innovate and support talent with the best technology available.”
